Lifting Heavy Weights – How Equiscope Therapy Helps a Shoulder Injury
September 13, 2023

You already know that lifting heavy weights is sometimes unavoidable, whether exercising, shopping, or picking up your children!

But you might not realize this: During activities where you lift a heavy weight, your shoulders are doing a lot of the work. They’re therefore among the most commonly injured areas of the body.

This was the case with one patient, who suffered a shoulder injury due to working out with heavy weights. After years of pain, he finally found relief with Equiscope therapy.

But why are your shoulders so vulnerable to injury?

The Human Shoulder: A Complex Network

The human shoulder is a complex structure of

  • bones (clavicle, scapula, and humerus),
  • muscles, and
  • tendons.

The various muscles and tendons surround the bones and allow for the wide range of motion in your arm and shoulder joint that you take for granted – until lifting a heavy weight leads to pain!

Of course, weightlifting can be a great way to improve posture, strength, bone density, and metabolism. And while minor tears and soreness are a natural part of the muscle-strengthening process, it’s important to care for your shoulder joints properly.

Overdoing anything can strain the shoulder structure, leading to muscle tears, inflammation, and soreness.

In the case we mentioned, the male client in his 40s experienced shoulder pain and limited range of motion due to lifting heavy weights. He couldn’t lift his arm above the shoulder, and the pain level was at a six most days, but it could go as high as an eight or nine.

After undergoing standard Equiscope therapy with plates on the energy lines connected to where the pain was, and finishing with a Y probe, the client reported a full range of motion and zero pain for the first time in two years after just 25 minutes of therapy.

So how can this happen?

How Equiscope Therapy Works

The Electro-Equiscope operates on the principle that the body has its own energy network. Overall wellbeing depends on these energy systems staying in balance so your cells can function – using this bioenergy – as intended.

Think of your body as an intricate electrical circuit where elements such as sodium, magnesium, and calcium carry electrical charges that cells use to produce electricity. However, when there’s inflammation in the body, this circuit is disrupted, and the cells struggle to combat the inflammation effectively.

By using individualized biofeedback to detect and correct imbalances in the cells, the Equiscope restores the energy systems in the body – allowing it to fight inflammation, promote healing, and improve muscle recovery.

While it’s not a direct solution for injuries from lifting heavy weights, Equiscope therapy can play a supportive role in a speedier recovery process and be an alternative to other traditional approaches to shoulder injuries including

  • supplements,
  • NSAIDs, and
  • steroid injections.
