Understanding Chronic Pain, PTSD, and Conventional Treatments
One common and crippling ailment that can result from long-term physical strain, injuries, or surgery is chronic pain. For veterans, co-occurring conditions including diabetes, degenerative disc disease, and PTSD frequently make these challenges worse. Traumatic events can cause PTSD, or post-traumatic stress disorder, a mental health problem that intensifies stress, interferes with sleep, and reduces the overall level of life.
Surgery, physical therapy, medication, and lifestyle changes are all considered traditional methods of managing chronic pain. These can provide some relief, but they usually don’t address the associated emotional and physical issues that many people deal with. For some, the pursuit of a more comprehensive and successful solution is still ongoing.
Equiscope protocols offer an innovative alternative. This bioelectric modality may aid in cellular healing, inflammation reduction, and pain relief by restoring the body’s electrical equilibrium. Because it is non-invasive, it has potential as a supplemental or alternative method for addressing PTSD and chronic pain.
A 56-Year-Old Retired Veteran’s Case
Following his military retirement in May 2017, this 56-year-old veteran suffered several health issues:
- Chronic Pain: Degenerative disc degeneration at C6–C7 exacerbates chronic pain in the neck, shoulders, hips, knees, and ankles.
- PTSD: Persistent psychological distress and elevated stress.
- Restricted Range of Motion (ROM): Due to previous surgery on the right shoulder and an impending procedure on the left, there is limited shoulder mobility.
- Diabetes: Complications such as diabetic toes, impacting daily activities.
- Surgical History: Both knees have had surgery, and replacements are in the works.
- Medications: Blood pressure, Type 2 diabetes, inflammation, and cholesterol are among the conditions for which prescription drugs are used. He utilizes CBD and THC oils for better sleep in order to manage pain without the usage of traditional medicines. He recently started using an antidepressant to help regulate his pain receptors.
This client has been exploring Equiscope protocols since December 2023 in order to address his chronic pain, which he normally rates at a 6/10 with occasional spikes to a 10/10.
Customized Equiscope Protocols
Customized protocol plans spanning five sessions consisted of:
- Trapezius Muscles: Bilateral plates are placed in the trapezius muscles to ease stiffness and stress.
- Feet and Spine: S1 and S2 spinal segments are the focus of plates placed on the top and bottom of both feet.
- Joint Immersion Therapy: A combination of immersion therapy and joint pain salts, followed by a headband for increased relaxation.
- Spinal Protocols: Plates that target the posterior superior iliac spines (PSIS) on both sides as well as spinal segments T1–L5.
- Shoulder and Spine Protocols: Plates applied to both glenohumeral joints and the L5 region for targeted relief.
Results and Reflections
Even while the protocols haven’t completely removed his pain, they regularly lessen the intensity of it, creating a “muffling” effect. He notes that one to two days following sessions, relief frequently occurs. In addition to the physical changes, he says he feels more at ease and balanced overall.
Challenges continue to exist, such as a recent 36-hour period of insomnia and a fainting incident that caused bruises. He appreciates the small improvements and is still dedicated to the procedures in spite of these hurdles.
The Impact of Equiscope Protocols
Equiscope uses bioelectric technology to boost the body’s innate healing processes, providing an alternative perspective on pain management. For people dealing with the complexities of PTSD and chronic pain, this protocol might provide hope and a way to live a better life.
