More than just a passing discomfort, chronic pain is a crippling problem that can interfere with almost every aspect of daily living. Defined as pain that persists for more than three months, chronic pain can stem from various causes—including previous injuries, surgeries or even underlying medical issues. Stiffness, discomfort and soreness are common symptoms that can make it difficult to move around and carry out daily duties.
Traditional methods of treating chronic pain often combine prescription drugs, physical therapy and lifestyle modifications. While taking medications can help with pain management temporarily, it can also have unintended side effects and may not address the underlying source of the problem.
A Heavy Duty Mechanic’s Struggle
This blog focuses on a 56-year-old male military veteran who has transitioned into a heavy duty mechanic. His story is a testament to resilience in the face of persistent challenges.
The client suffers from chronic pain throughout his body—particularly in his neck, shoulders, hips, knees and ankles. He also deals with complications related to PTSD, degenerative disc disease affecting the C6 and C7 vertebrae and diabetes, which has resulted in “diabetic toes.” Having undergone knee surgeries, he is now facing the possibility of knee replacement surgery.
To manage his symptoms, he relies on various medications, including those for blood pressure, type 2 diabetes and cholesterol management. While he avoids painkillers, he utilizes CBD and THC oils to improve sleep and is testing an antidepressant to alleviate pain receptor dysregulation. He started Equiscope sessions in December 2023 and sought alternative solutions to enhance his overall wellbeing and regain mobility.
Equiscope Therapy: A Game Changer
The client embarked on a series of nine Equiscope therapy sessions, employing advanced techniques to target his chronic pain effectively.
The protocols included:
- Guided Meditation: Utilizing a headband to promote relaxation and mindfulness during sessions.
- Plate Application: Targeting specific areas, such as the left scapula and below the clavicle, along with bilateral plates at T1, enhancing therapeutic effects.
- Immersion Sessions: Incorporating liver detox salts for a holistic approach to detoxification and pain relief.
- Spinal Protocol: Strategic plate placement along the spine (T1 to L5) and both wrists to help promote healthier tissues and improve range of motion.
- Reflexology Techniques: Focusing on the brainstem to promote relaxation and support the body’s natural healing processes.
Remarkable Results
Despite ongoing pain levels that can spike to 10/10, the client reports that the intensity of his discomfort has become more manageable since starting Equiscope therapy. He has discovered a newfound sense of relief, enhancing his quality of life.
